Crispy Music Festival at Whites Bar in Saginaw
By Shari Barcia
If you’re a supporter of local music, Crispy Music Festival is an event you are not going to want to miss this year. Crispy has three stages with over 20 Michigan bands.
Founded in 92′ by Chris Palmer, it started out just being a festival of his favorite bands from Saginaw and Flint, which is pretty much the same today. When speaking with Chris he stated, “I try to find bands from the area that draw more attention to themselves. I’ve spent three months putting the line up together.” Some of the bands on the 2014 line up include Dead in 5, Bloodline Riot and Severe Head Drama. “Ethan Murphy, of Severe Head Drama, has pretty much been my second hand man since 2010.”
“Dead in 5 are thrilled to rock the Crispy Music Festival. Crispy is one of the only festivals showcasing 100% Michigan made talent and we are proud to be included. Dead in 5 are looking forward to turning it up to 11 and blowing the roof off – it’s going to be a great time!” – Dana Deadly, Dead in 5 bass player.
“Bloodline Riot can’t wait to play CrispyFest! We’re excited to play for the amazing people in the Saginaw area with so many amazing bands. This is going to be an awesome time. We’ll be playing our new single at this show as well. Bloodline Riot promises to bring 200% for CrispyFest!” -Jason Caine, Bloodline Riot guitarist.
The show is June 7th at Whites Bar in Saginaw, MI. Tickets are $8 in advance. Doors open at 1pm.
