Lily Allen’s Album Sheezus in Stores Now
Lily Allen’s music has been deeply missed in the music industry over the past few years. Her captivating voice, astonishing looks and prevalent lyrics, the female pop voice, with real rhythm and blues abilities after a long hiatus is back on display in her new well produced pragmatic album, Sheezus.
This is the British pop singer’s first album since 2009’s acclaimed It’s Not Me, It’s You. Sheezus finds her re-teaming with her long-time collaborator Greg Kurstin, DJ Dahi, and Shellback. If the title itself doesn’t captivate your attention, the bold, catchy, attractive and wistful eleven songs on the album surely will, starting with the title track — she’s carving out her space, keeping it realer than the ‘Real Deal’ Holyfield.
To celebrate the release of Sheezus, Allen will arrive Stateside next week to make several TV appearances, including The Today Show on May 14th, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on May 14th, and Live with Kelly and Michael on May 26th. She will also perform a sold-out show at New York City’s Highline Ballroom May on 15th for her first live show in the U.S. in five years.
We can only hope that Allen’s sold out show in New York will lead to an extensive U.S. Tour. Since emerging onto the scene in 2006 with, “Smile,” she has managed to remain a prominent figure in the industry, which is a testament to her music. Sheezus is a continuation of her success and a great addition to her catalog.
We’ve been listening to it all day and can’t wait to bring you the album review.
