Porter Robinson has officially released “Lionhearted,” the next highly anticipated single off of his debut album Worlds. On June 17th, the track will showcase Porter’s dynamic song craft. The song features Swedish indie artist, Urban Cone, providing a ambient flair and power to the hit.
Worlds premieres on August 12th and starts off with “Divinity” featuring Amy Millan of Stars following the brand new single “Sad Machine”; featuring Porter’s vocal debut alongside a robot. “Sad Machine” premiered over FADER and was selected as a top track of the week by Billboard and Stereogum.
“Sea of Voices” – album’s first single – has dominated music charts with the #1 spot on Facebook upon the leak to fans on social media and shot at #2 on iTunes electronic charts; followed by the #5 spot on HypeM and #5 spot on Spotify’s viral chart. Not to mention, the one million constant replays on Soundcloud.
The album entails a variety of various other tracks such as “Fellow Feeling,” which begins as a violin-driven to an industrial static, “Years of War,” “Breanne Duren” featuring Owl City and Sean Caskey (Last Dinosaurs).
“Hear the Bells” featuring Imaginary Cities carries on the euphoria of pop; “Polygon Dust” featuring Lemaitre is a growing pop tune with an electronic edge. Norwegian duo Lemaitre will open for Porter on the Worlds North American tour.
This North American tour will be launching August 28th; the massive 40+ date tour will see headline appearances dates at the NYC’s Terminal 5, LA’s Shrine Auditorium, and the 9:30 Club in Washington DC.
Porter will be featuring multi-tracks, samples, playing midi keys and using controllers to create a fully-live affair. This will create a show that will set apart his previous DJ appearances.
