This Is The Funky Part Set to Release

May 13th

Ever since we heard Unbreakable by this East Coast power house funk band, we’ve been consciously awaiting a new release from The Royal Noise. Fortunately, in a little over two weeks, The Royal Noise will be releasing their new album appropriately titled, This Is The Funky Part. With their last album Unbreakable being a success and the continual evolution of this band, this will be an album not to miss. For as Simon Eddie of HGMN stated, “[The Royal Noise are] One of the best live funk acts to emerge from the East Coast in a long while.”

For this record, the band teamed up with acclaimed producer and engineer Pete Mavrogeorgis, who has had an integral part in producing the works of such artists as Grinderman, The National, Alice Texas, Nick Cage & The Bad Seeds, Phillip Glass, The Horrors and many more.

Chock full of spellbinding jam sessions, infectious saxophone lines, searing guitar solos, spacey synths and undeniable grooves, This Is The Funky Part takes the listener on an amusement park ride of an album that keeps them guessing at each and every turn, drawing comparisons to bands in the vein of Lettuce, Umphrey’s McGee and Lotus.

This Is The Funky Part will available worldwide in digital retail stores on May 13th, 2014. Check out streaming audio on The Royal Noise’s official website, connect with them on Facebook or Twitter for all the latest info and keep your eyes peeled for announcements for their upcoming East Coast tour dates.
