The 24-year-old Wicklow, Ireland native followed up Take Me to Church with the EP From Eden in March 2014, and released his self-titled album in September 2014. The album reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the single “Take Me to Church” was Grammy nominated for Song of the Year. He performed a two-song medley of “Take Me to Church” and “I Put a Spell on You” with Annie Lennox at the Grammys.
Los Angeles rock quartet Dawes released their debut album North Hills in 2009. The band’s second album, 2011’s Nothing Is Wrong, peaked at #23 on the Billboard album charts. The group’s third studio album, Stories Don’t End, arrived in 2013 and reached #5 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart. Dawes consists of brothers Taylor (guitars and vocals) and Griffin Goldsmith (drums), along with Wylie Gelber (bass) and Tay Strathairn (keyboards).
