Travelling Down the Rabbit Hole with Markus Schulz
By Alexandra Ioannou
Detroit, are you ready for the unicorn slayer, the one and only, Markus Schulz? For personal reasons Markus is looking forward to coming to Detroit and getting messy, letting loose with all of his friends and fans, and creating some trouble. Be prepared for a magical journey through trance and dance music on a more intimate level – up close and personal. Don’t forget about the late-night rabbit hole when things start to get a little weird, dark, and trippy.
Markus talked about his motto – the longer the set, the better. “The longer you have behind the decks, the further you can travel with the crowd and fans.” Markus told HEAR that he “tends to experiment more while playing extended or marathon club sets.” This is where he gets ideas and can test out newer tracks before playing the next big festival in front of more than 20,000 fans. Markus will have the decks at Elektricity for over 6 hours, and that is surely enough time to take the crowd on a proper journey through trance and dance music.
Markus expressed that he really tries to end the night with a memorable, emotional track. Make sure to stick around until the end, as this is truly going to be a special show.
On Friday, November 1st Markus Schulz will be playing live at Elektricity in Pontiac. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and they don’t close until 4 a.m. For more information on Markus Schulz, please see his official website at: markusschulz.com
