A Review of Make Out EP by Adrian Lux Released on Ultra Music

By Paulina Pachel

After several acclaimed successes, such as the release of Teenage Crime earning a Grammy nomination and a designated spot on Swedish House Mafia’s album, Until One, the 27 year old Swede was bound to create another spectacular hit. Each track on his newest record gleams with his premier elements of techno roots combined with his current alternative influences.

The album features a number of talented vocalists like Kaelyn Behr, Lune, Marcus Schossow, jj, and Last Jynx. With a keen selection of artists made exclusively by Adrian Lux, the album will deliver a sound of a unique quality; an album that isn’t meant to be just another club record, but a remarkable a story.

Make Out starts off with “Rain” featuring Lune, a light and peaceful track, which leads nicely into the up tempo song “Smoke & Mirrors.” The song provides a more energetic and bouncy flow, destined to dominate the festival stages this summer.

Up next, is a beautiful collaboration with Kaelyn Behr titled “Sooner or Later.” This is Adrian’s introspective interpretation; he takes his listeners deeper and darker, simultaneously exposing his diversity and vision.

Examining and tracing back to his techno roots, Adrian follows up with tracks “Lauren Conrad,” “Wild Child,” and “Damaged.” All tracks feature female vocals followed by a up-beat bass. The EP features a bonus track; remix of “Sooner or Later.”

Don’t miss out on his Make Out West Tour this summer as Adrian showcases his new tracks for the very first time.
