Release Your Inner Beast on the Hounds of Hell Tour
By Kayla Bultema and David Coffman
Round up your gang and come get trashed on Saturday, October 12th at The Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan for the Hounds of Hell Tour. This tour features an all-star collaboration of the legendary Wolfgang Gartner and superstar Tommy Trash. This will be their 11th show of their fall tour that travels through the US and Canada. Expect the unexpected from these two, and get ready to release your inner beast while dancing with the wolves. The fans are not the only ones that are excited – Tommy Trash exclaims that he “can’t wait to play in Michigan.”
The Australian DJ/Producer Thomas Olsen, a.k.a. Tommy Trash, has been rocking dance floors since 2006 with his kickass electro and progressive house music. Trash brings his original stunning sound to every stage he performs on, and his crowds always have fists in the air with their legs kickin’ and feet stompin’ to his one-of-a-kind, speaker-shattering, drops.
Trash is currently signed to Ministry of Sound Australia. He has collaborated with the astonishing A-Trak to create “Tuna Melt,” and the spectacular Sebastian Ingrosso to create “Reload.” He has also made masterpieces such as “The End” and “All My Friends.” So far this year, Trash has given body-shaking performances at events such as Electric Forest, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Festival Vegas, and Tomorrowland. With Trash’s fascinating curly locks and party-down stage performances, it’s completely understandable why Rolling Stone and MTV describe him as the “One to Watch.”
The ever so talented DJ/Producer Joseph Thomas Youngman, a.k.a. Wolfgang Gartner, is known by every admirer of electronic dance music for his stunning complextro and electro and progressive house sound. Not only is he an inspiration to other producers, but also a top leader to all his fans, and that’s proven by having eight #1 songs on the Beatport Top Ten Chart. Gartner has also collaborated with numerous talented DJs such as Deadmau5, Skrillex, Tiesto, and Will.i.am, as well as rappers, like Eve, Omarion, and Cam’ron. Gartner has made five-star performances at Camp Bisco, Coachella, Ultra, Electric Forest, and World Electronic Music Festival. Gartner is one of the most dedicated DJs out there and he proves it through his hard work and determination. All of his DJ sets are almost entirely made up of his own work. He spends most of his days in his studio, and a lot of the times it is 20 plus hours per day.
“I’m constantly asking myself ‘Could it be better? It could take me three hours to add this little millisecond sound that nobody but me will ever know is there, but I do it,” explains Gartner. “It’s like I get into tweaker mode and I’m just sitting there tweaking for ten hours straight on this sound or that track and putting everything together and coming up with something else.”Gartner has made track after track of hands-in-the-air tunes that will rock your speakers all night long. He has conquered electro and progressive house, and is now conquering the newly popular genre, complextro.
Together, Wolfgang and Trash released on September 24th, an exclusive track “Hounds of Hell” on Gartner’s label (Kindergarten Records). This collaboration mix brings both a uniquely crafted sound from each superstar that resulted in a rowdy, roaring sound. With their combined passion to create one-of-kind music, this track definitely throws down ferociously howling beats. If you are just too unfortunate to go to their show, definitely download this mix at www.beatport.com.
