We were on site for this years Carolina Rebellion.  This years weekend was different from last years as there hadn’t been a major rain storm right before the festival.  This is one of the driest Carolina Rebellions I can remember. With the amount of dust in the air and funky face coverings I had to remind myself that we were not at Coachella.

This years Carolina Rebellion pushed the envelope a bit when it came to being a rock/metal festival.  Friday kicked things off with Red Sun Rising, Sevendust, Parkway Drive, Bullet For My Valentine, Tremonti, Stone Sour, Shinedown, and Alice in Chains.

Saturday brought some heavier hitters to the stages including Them Evils, Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Butcher Babies, Halestorm, The Use, Five Finger Death Punch, & Godsmack.

Sunday is where it got a little dicey when it came to the lineup. The festival producers wanted to take a risk and open the minds of the festival patrons. Sunday’s lineup included rock/metal acts such as Greta Van Fleet, Clutch, & The Fever 333. But as the day progressed things went a little more to the lighter side. Sets which included The Struts, Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age, Billy Idol, were sprinkled in with Muse closing out the festival.   As the photos prove, there were already established fans as well as curious onlookers ready to have their minds expanded. Muse’s performance attendance may not have been the highest for the weekend but I can guarantee they came away from their performance with an increase in fans.
