Another year, another chance to get ‘Louder Than Life’!

For the third year Louisville Champions Park hosted this year’s Louder Than Life festival. Bellies were kept full with the large selection of Gourmet Man Food trucks and palates were kept satisfied with several different whiskeys, bourbons, and brews.

DAY ONE had the three stages rocking into the evening.  The Loudmouth Stage kicked the festival off with band ‘68’s entertaining and sarcastic performance.  They lead the way for the rest of the acts including Young Guns, I PrevailHELLYEAH, and Pierce the Veil to name a few. Some small rain clouds hovered over the park threatening the crowd all morning but, they managed to stay that way.

The Cult, Cheap Trick, and Slayer began to close out the night yet still amping up the crowed to Saturday’s headliner Avenged Sevenfold. They kept the party going until the late evening but leaving the crowd wanting more.  Which is perfect because they still had one more day to rock!

Sunday had favorable weather for an outdoor festival, allowing the concert goers to tuck away their rain boots and done their best moshing foot wear.  With day two’s line they were definitely going to be using them.  Crobot, Adelitas Way, Trivium, Pop Evil, Zakk Sabbath, Clutch and Ghost rocked the crowd throughout the day. The night’s headliners are three heavy hitters.

Korn, Disturbed, and Slipknot were brought in to close out the night and festival. Korn invited Slipknot’s Corey Taylor on stage to perform their new song A Different World. Disturbed kept their performance hot with their pyro and incredible stage presence. Slipknot closed down the festival with an always exciting and electrifying performance.

In the end fans were seen streaming out of the park with smiles on their faces discussing their weekend and how excited they are for next year’s Louder Than Life festival and even sooner the next DWP show!
